Program Leader Performance

As our new Program Leader Performance in our Technology team, you are responsible for the team which will develop efficiency improvements for our flexible thin film PV modules and bring those improvements from lab to fab. Diagnostics development to demonstrate process stability and reproducibility should also be able to reduce spread and thus assure robust roll-to-roll production. The base technology is thin film silicon and the performance roadmap also includes perovskite materials.

HyET Solar Netherlands is a leading SME in the field of flexible thin film photovoltaic (PV) modules and is founded in 2012. HyET Solar Netherlands has introduced the first commercially viable thin film solar foil (Powerfoil) and has customers all around the world. HyET enters into partnerships with key stakeholders to develop products with a focus on application. Our staged approach delivers a clear view of options and results in products that satisfy customer requirements. HyET’s headquarters are located in Arnhem, the Netherlands and is run by an experienced interdisciplinary team.

HyET Solar has concluded successfully its recent capital raise and is expanding its production capacity in the Netherlands to 300 MW. Simultaneously it is preparing its international expansion, in close cooperation with its business partners (a 1 GW factory is in design phase).

 

The Role

As our new Program Leader Performance in our Technology team, you are responsible for the team which will develop efficiency improvements for our flexible thin film PV modules and bring those improvements from lab to fab. Diagnostics development to demonstrate process stability and reproducibility should also be able to reduce spread and thus assure robust roll-to-roll production. The base technology is thin film silicon and the performance roadmap also includes perovskite materials.

You are identifying paths to further improve the performance along the various technology readiness levels. Hereto you will built upon existing partnerships and expand upon them. Therefore you have proven expertise with running projects with multi-disciplinary teams and collaborations with research institutes and universities.

You collaborate closely with many other stake holders within the company, such as production , technology development, product reliability, and product development.

This new position has become open due to internal growth.

 

Working in close contact within our Technology team, your main responsibilities are:

  • Develop and execute the performance roadmap
  • Responsible for PV module performance targets.
  • Develop State-of-the art module performance in close collaboration with research institutes and universities
  • Improving current product by optimizing stacks
  • Develop technology to produce these modules roll-to-roll as well as the quality assurance tools required
  • Expansion of the performance team within the Technology team
  • Intensive collaboration with the Reliability and the Technology upscaling team.

We look for

  • PhD in Physics
  • Preferably 5 to 10/10+ years relevant working experience in PV Industry, preferably thin film silicon
  • expertise with multi-disciplinary teams and collaborations with research institutes and universities
  • Hands-on, innovative, communicative, fast learner
  • You already gained first team experience (>10)
  • Strong personality which has a positive/critical mindset
  • Strong analytical, communication skills, team focused and pragmatic
  • Out of the box thinker
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Excellent skills in MS-Office, especially Excel

 

The Team

The HyET Solar Team is full of innovative, drive colleagues taking pride in our factory and product. The project engineers are the cor in our Factory Expansion team. Together with the project leader and project management support, the project engineers will manage our equipment suppliers and contractors in realisation of the new factory. As part of this team, you will work with other colleagues with a background in production, maintenance and technology.
