About HyET Solar

Arnhem based HyET Solar has developed a ground breaking technology in PV manufacturing. We make Powerfoil; light weight, flexible thin film solar foil. Our cost efficient roll-to-roll manufacturing technology enables new applications and significantly reduced system costs. Examples of applications are integration in building materials, installation on roofs with limited load bearing capacity (airports, sports stadiums etc) and floating solar. We are currently optimizing our running production line in Arnhem and have started the expansion of our factory for mass production. HyET Solar is part of the HyET group.

The Team

The HyET Solar team is full of innovative, driven colleagues taking pride in our factory and product. We have approximately 30 team members from various disciplines and are growing rapidly. As part of the project team for Factory Expansion, you will work with colleagues with a background in production, maintenance and R&D.

The Role

As Project Engineer in the Factory Expansion team, you are responsible for the engineering and delivery of the equipment and the factory requirements. You will work closely with suppliers and contractors during the entire realisation process. Starting with specifying the necessary equipment, reviewing quotations and ending with commissioning and integration in the production line. You will make sure that new equipment achieves the required quality, efficiency and reliability in the production process. Typical activities include:

  • Writing equipment specifications for the production processes
  • Providing technical direction for suppliers and contractors
  • Review and improvement of designs by suppliers
  • Ensuring quality in design and fabrication work
  • Installation, commissioning and release for production of equipment
  • Providing input for and checking of interfaces and integration of equipment

We look for

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Technology or similar
  • Minimal 5 years relevant working experience
  • Experience with production processes and equipment manufacturing
  • Track record in working with equipment manufacturers
  • Strong communications skills
  • Pro-active and creative mindset
  • Demonstrated application of technical skills in practical solutions
  • Strong and independent in problem solving
  • Team player with the capacity to work on several projects at the same time
  • Experience in working with CAD software, preferably Solid Works
  • Experience with PV industry and winding / roll-to-roll technology is an advantage
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, fluent in Dutch is an advantage
